Ev started his insurance career in 1974 looking for a temporary job while he secured a writing posItion. He has essentially retired from that temporary insurance career after 46 years and is now writing. During that extensive temporary time, Ev working for 5 companies in permanent positions with 28 years in management and continued in contractual positions after retiring from full time employment. He held various local and national industry positions, including President of the AHOU, wrote articles for several publications, made presentations at local, state, regional, and national meetings, and was active in committee work, including promotion of the educational offerings the AHOU now offers. Ev is now retired with Maya, his 11-year old Golden Doodle, in the woods of south-central Indiana, having recently lost his long-time companion, Izzy, another Doodle, who would have been 14 last month.
